Pain Rehabilitation and Management
In most cases, pain rehabilitation and management will be used by combining one or more of the available treatments with the goal being to use methods that are non-surgical and minimally invasive and which aim to address the root cause of the pain to avoid potential recurrence.

Chronic Pain Rehabilitation
According to the American Osteopathic Association, about one half of Americans say that pain is part of their lives and close to the same percent believe that pain is a standard part of the aging process. They further report that more than half of adult Americans under the age of 34 have experienced chronic pain or are close to someone who has. At Integrated Physicians Medical Group, we believe that most people are unnecessarily living with chronic pain and we do what it takes to thoroughly diagnose and treat the root cause of your chronic pain without medications or surgery.
Each individual case is very different and a thorough evaluation will result in a catered treatment plan. We will use every therapy at our disposal to treat the root cause of your pain. That could include one or more of the following techniques, therapies, and services.
Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression
Non surgical spinal decompression provides pain relief from cervical disc herniations, disc degeneration, low back pain, sciatica, pinched nerves, facet syndrome, spinal stenosis, and other spinal ailments. Patients recline on a large table and a gentle pull from the hip area helps to separate the discs and allow the back to begin a natural healing process. This computerized technology gently targets the specific area involved separating the vertebrae, increasing the disc height, rehydrating the disc, regaining the shape of the nucleus pulposis, and taking the pressure off the irritated nerve. The procedure is very relaxing and many of our patients fall asleep on the table awaking pain free.
Class IV Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is an effective non-invasive way to accelerate healing and the repair of body tissues. It alleviates pain, reduces inflammation, and speeds functional recovery. The injured cells in your body respond to the deep penetration of laser photons, enhancing microcirculation and blood oxygenation to the compromised area, and speeding the rate of repair. Laser therapy is useful for alleviating neck and back pain, knee pain, repairing shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, providing relief for arthritis, and reducing inflammation and joint swelling.
Active Therapeutic Movement (ATM®)
The goal of ATM is to provide immediate and long-lasting benefits for anyone suffering from back, neck, shoulder, hip, or knee pain. ATM allows you to isolate a specific muscle group and perform several neuromuscular repetitions which will retrain the central nervous system to work in conjunction with the body’s musculoskeletal system.
While the goal is to permanently repair the damage that is causing pain, there are times during which managing the pain is critical to facilitate healing or to offer relief when the root cause cannot be found. While there are several options for managing pain, at Integrated Physicians Medical Group, we focus on procedures that are minimally invasive and which can alleviate your pain. These pain management techniques do not require medication or surgery and can offer immediate relief.
